The “T” slab is represented under several forms on the market: single T, double T, giant T, twin T and multi-T, amongst others. It is mainly used in situations which involve very large clearances and loads.
Combination of pre-stressed and passive reinforcement combined with T-shaped beams, can reach spans exceeding 60 feet (18 meters) while supporting heavy loads. The final application determines the choice of the model.
Manufactured in molds of relatively fixed general shape, with high-performance concrete, they meet the need for much larger clearances than conventional concrete systems allow.
