Description

The entire structure was realized with structural panels which also served as partition walls between the residences. The envelope was designed with a texture imitating the natural stones of the nearby church. The use of a prefabricated structural and architectural concrete system made the completion of this project possible in a record time of 2 months; The project began in March and the students moved there in September. The interior walls received paint directly, minimizing the costs of interior finishing. The system of sandwich panels proved to be extremely successful because of its energy efficiency. Comparative savings of 30% have been reported for similar residences in addition to other physical properties in the building that exceed basic standards in terms of sound insulation, incombustibility, maintenance, cost savings, and durability.
